Reading Eggs

For a child that is just starting off or struggling to stay on level I think this program would be a good addition to their everyday learning. It has all the basics to get them started and it adjusts based on comprehension. It has printable worksheets to work offline with as well. The age range is relative because my child is 10 and this program is essentially useless because she tested into the last section of each reading placement. I would still maybe use it to reinforce some math information. But they offer a 30 day trial so just be sure to see how your child fits into the program within that time and you’ll definitely know if it’s worth continuing.

This is a great product for all ages. It keeps your child's attention for long periods of time. They can play what they want at their own pace. They will learn a lot of new things!

Reading Eggs is an engaging and interactive online curriculum that makes learning to read fun! I love that this program also comes with free downloadable printable worksheets to go along with the online curriculum, or you can even buy the added workbooks to go along with the online work if your child does better with hands-on learning.

After having used Reading Eggs for a couple of weeks, I feel I have a great understanding of the program and how my children interact with it. My eldest daughter already had some reading skills and the placement test put her on the perfect lesson. She is challenged enough but is also able to complete the lessons with relative ease. The perfect combination of new content and confidence building. The activities guide her through phonics, reading comprehension, rhyming words and reading actual books as well as an end skills test. Overall the program is fantastic in comparison to some competitors in my very honest opinion.

My 2 year old has also used the app and it is fun and age and developmentally appropriate. It focuses on the very basic skills like sound recognition, matching pictures and sounds and coordination that are the building blocks to reading.

I am an elementary teacher (currently a stay at home parent ) and I would absolutely recommend Reading Eggs to my student's parents. It is a perfect way to use screen time in a time when many of us rely on it without the guilt or shame associated with "mindless scrolling."

Overall I am very satisfied! Playing with them or allowing them to use the program/app independently are both options. The parent dashboard allows you to see the skills they have learned and gives you an estimate of their reading level by age, the sounds they know and how many sight words they know.

My son, 7, has been struggling with reading. He feels defeated by books when he can’t read the words. Since we started Reading Eggs, he’s picked up more words and randomly throughout the day will spell words to me. He loves games and Reading Eggs really resonated with him and I’m so happy he’s showing progress and gaining reading confidence!

Reading eggs has been a great addition to homeschool materials. It’s an excellent way to spend screen time. Kids can enjoy fun videos, educational games, or educational stories.

My 6 year old daughter absolutely loves Reading Eggs. She is homeschooled and it has really helped her with her letters. She can play it for hours if I let her. She had it last year and really missed it when we moved to another state and no longer had it. She is so happy to have her Reading Eggs back and asks for it daily even in the summer during break. Reading Eggs is a must have application that will help kids at any age know the very basics of phonics, up to challenging themselves as a reader.

This program is amazing and my daughter Elizabeth has loved it. In as little as two weeks she has improved her understanding and skills in reading.

This website was really nice for my 4 year old. It was engaging with the games and books. My Child enjoyed the matching games and learning to write letters the most. The books were simple enough but could use improvement on showing which words are being said. Overall a very enjoyable experience for both of us!

Reading Eggs was easy to use, fun, rewarding, educational, easy for parents to review their child's progress and engaging for my child! I just wish it was priced lower, if so, I would purchase a recurring subscription for my child for sure! Other than that, I highly recommend this!

The best program ever, Reading Eggs has changed how my kids see things. They are able to sound out words and read without struggling. Reading Eggs challenges my kids in a way like never before. They get up every morning asking to get on Reading Eggs. They have no problem with repeating an assignment if they didn't do so well. They even love the reward system, how they can save up points and get more new things.

As a homeschool parent, this Reading Eggs is very helpful in teaching my child to read. The lessons are fun and engaging. The graphics look really well done. The app has a placement test so it will put my child’s learning at the right place for her. The rewards give my child something to look forward to and keep her wanting to learn longer. I also love that I get progress reports because I can be sure that my child is learning. Overall, I think this is a great program and I would recommend it.

The Reading Eggs is a fun engaging platform for any kid. I really like that there was an app and that it provides parents with a 30 day free trial. The different sections (videos, activities, and reading) are all essential for kids and my son is 4 yo and he really enjoyed the activities. He got so excited because he was able to learn words that matched with the specific letter but also had a fun game at the end of each level and received stars! The activities are fun for the child but I also was able to engage and help which made it fun for us both. I would highly recommend Reading Eggs, try it out and just let your child take control and play what they like while also learning, you can never learn too much!

I am always looking for new educational apps for my daughter to try out!  I was surprised at just how educational this one really was. The library section is filled with tons of books. As a mom, I loved that it had placement tests so that each child starts where they need to be in the program instead of starting at the beginning and getting bored because they already knew everything.  My daughter loves the rewards program by receiving golden eggs and buying things for her house. It makes her want to complete more lessons in order to receive more eggs. I think overall the main portal is a little confusing for kids. It has a different "portal" for each program and my daughter sometimes has to click on a few in order to find which ones she wants.  Overall, I love that the app is self paced and I know that she is learning in whatever activity she is doing. I plan on using this as part of homeschool when school starts back up again!

As a mom of ten, this program really does work for different types of learners. I am impressed with how one child can do a placement test and feel confident in where they are starting from. At the same time, a younger child can begin at the beginning and build on their confidence level. I've been watching my 4, 7, and 8-year-olds go through the programs, and I am highly impressed with how well they are moving forward and, most importantly, retaining the information. With that said, my almost 3-year-old has been doing it with me, and seeing his engagement has been great. I didn't expect it to keep his attention, but he was pointing out words to my husband today. I'm not usually one to encourage the kids to play on technology, but I have been encouraging them each day to play because it's been amazing to see what they learn. If you are on the fence, try it. The kids get excited to earn and spend coins, and, best of all, they are learning various skills.

We loved Reading Eggs. It improved my child’s reading skills in just 30 days. She loved playing and it didn’t feel like a “chore”.

Great for all different ages. It doesn't just give the kids the answers and makes it fun and enjoyable for both my boys.

I was apprehensive to try a screen based reading app, however when my little one needed a bit more we got to try Reading Eggs. My child enjoyed the graphics, themes and pace of the program and it did not have the typical screen use effect of her. She was quickly engaged and kept a great attitude during and after usage. Great option, highly recommend!

My kids are really liking this so far. The colorful and engaging lessons are nice, though a bit long. I love the placement test option so I could see where they were going and I love that I can keep up with their progress. I see this being a vital tool in our homeschool this coming year.

I really enjoyed using this program for my daughter. She is four years old and will be starting pre-k in the fall. My daughter hasn’t attended any school environment and I was very pleased to see her progress through the activities and levels with this program/app. As a former kindergarten teacher, I was impressed with the quality of this program, and the way it was executed in a fun and engaging way. I have it downloaded on an iPad and on my phone, she’s learning and enjoying it! I highly recommend this as an enrichment learning tool.

Lots of options to choose from, but can be a bit overwhelming. Some aspects like the videos seemed to be more appealing and easier to navigate than books and other activities.

Reading Eggs kept my child engaged and focused. He was interested in all the activities and the colors and games kept him entertained. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone with toddlers!

My son loved Reading Eggs, so much he was wanting to get to every single day! This was so easy for him to navigate without my help. That was a huge bonus for me, because with 6 kids, sometimes they need to have something that is fun and self motivating like this. He has been having so much fun with it and it was so simple to navigate, and very self explanatory. I'm already seeing such an improvement in him already. I'm definitely looking forward to using this more and with my younger children as well once they are ready.

The system is very easy to navigate. I will highly recommend this program app to any parent that is struggling with their child's learning or if you would like for them to advance and other learning tools.

I’ve tried a variety of reading programs for my children and this one seems to be the biggest hit. I really like how it is very educational while still keeping the child engaged in a fun way. My child does not make a fuss to do the reading activities and they even compete to see who can get the most eggs.

This is a very nice and engaging program. My daughter liked it. You don't have to spend hours on it but yet it helps them academically.

Reading Eggs was great and well worth it!

Reading Eggs is a wonderful site! It has helped my kids understand reading and phonics much better. I have an almost 4 and 6 year old and although the eldest already read prior to using reading eggs, she has learned a whole lot more. I was skeptical to try any website because I felt like my kids would not learn anything and only see it as a fun website where they could play but I was wrong. They enjoy the 30 minutes a day after breakfast they get to play! They enjoy math much more because of Reading Eggs too. The site is filled with games and activities that could keep them busy all day if I wanted! It is a great tool to have as a homeschooling household.

Buy this program for young kids, especially if they're having a hard time reading.

I honestly really love Reading Eggs. It has helped my kids with phonics, reading and math. It is something my kids have enjoyed using. They say it is fun to learn and the fact that they can earn to buy outfits or with their golden eggs, encourages them to do more and want to learn more. I highly recommend this to every parent. The kids don't see it as learning, even when they really are. They have fun and enjoy. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

Reading Eggs is an amazing program! It kept my son constantly engaged while teaching him fundamental skills. The interactive lessons, fun activities, and engaging storybooks helped him develop a love for learning. I highly recommend this program!

This program includes a placement quiz to ensure your child is at the correct level of reading, it also has interactive lessons and a ton of fun activities. My daughter loved and was engaged with the books and learned from them while doing so. This is a program we will be using for all of our children.

We signed our daughter up for Reading Eggs to help her learn phonics and early reading skills. As a former Elementary teacher, former University Professor and current Homeschool Mom, this is a great tool! This program helped her achieve the exposure needed in ways that were fun and without pressure. The animation is kid-friendly and the lessons are gamified so our kiddo didn't feel bored. Rewards are abundant within the program and their support team is responsive.

This did not work well for my six year old son. He really struggles with reading and this website just felt confusing and out of order. I don’t think it addressed what my son needed help with.
